ANFAO - Italian Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers

ANFAO, the Associazione Nazionale Fabbricanti Articoli Ottici (National Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers), now has over 130 member companies and brings together all the major Italian eyewear companies of the entire production chain.

The Association was founded in Milan in 1954 by a group of entrepreneurs who were determined to bring together companies in the sector in an association that was a member of Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industry) with specific objectives: first and foremost, to create a fruitful synergy between the member companies and, in an atmosphere of full cooperation, to represent their interests at institutions, both nationally and internationally, in order to export the concept of Made in Italy, which has always been synonymous with quality, throughout the world.

It is a majority shareholder of CERTOTTICA, the National Institute for the Certification of Optical Products, and a founding member of Confindustria Moda, the federation that brings together the companies and associations of the fashion textile and accessory sector, established in 2017. It is part of Eurom1, the European sector federation.
